World Press Photo Awards for 2006

I belive this picture won an award because of the expression on the woman's face. Her eyes show an extreme desire for help. The colors are so bright and help the woman's face expression show more. The little hand that cover her mouth shows the viewer that she has a little one to look after. However the picture shows the reader she does not have the money to help her and her baby, Her eyes show sadness and desire to have someone to reach out to her and lend a helping hand. The picture is very clear. The light helps the expression come out more.
